The school complies to the Finnish basic education legislation and the national curriculum, and follows the national standards and distribution of lesson hours and vacation days. The school also operates in collaboration with the local educational department of Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa. Kielo School provides primary school education (grades 1-6), and currently accepts 1-4 grade students.
At Kielo International School we have a child centred approach to learning. Our primary aim is to identify and appreciate the unique potential of every student. Students receive an excellent education from dedicated and qualified teachers. Kielo’s values and activities are not just about academic achievements, but also students’ welfare and education towards active community members. Student voice is seen as a key contributor to preparing students for adulthood and life beyond school. We cherish the opinion and input of our parents in the forming of best practices in our school. A parents association ensures a platform for regular communication between the schools and the parents which makes it more feasible for us to perfect our services.
